Welcome back upper media siders! Hope you are all doing well and excited to see the outlines for our two character's outfits!!

Juliet, our main character has three outfits!

  • outfit #1: performer rockstar outfit.
  • outfit #2: pajamas
  • outfit #3: school outfit before she activates her rockstar lifestyle.

Juliet's mother will only have one outfit!

  • outfit #1: work clothes (business accountant attire)

Juliet's Rockstar Fit




  • For Juliet's first outfit, my group and I really wanted to take inspiration from some of the best female rock stars of the past. Specifically Joan Jett, Juliet's favorite female rockstar! Juliet will be wearing black leather pants with an intricate, funky pop top with platform shoes and lots of dramatic jewelry! She is going to be wearing a short, bright pink wig to differentiate the physical and mental change that she goes through. using a little misc-en-scene,
    pink means tranquility which is why my group and I want her to wearing that color! The outfit will be a reflection of her newfound confidence that she is still trying to work on. Hence her crying while getting ready ;) 

Juliet's Comfy Sleep Fit







  • Juliet's second outfit is very simple! She will wear grey plaid pajama pants, a staple clothing items for everyone! Her top will be a regular black oversized tee. We decided with the color grey to show neutrality and simplicity. Before her "rockstar" phrase, her sense of fashion is very basic and neutral . 

Juliet's School Girl Fit





  • Juliet's third and final outfit is a very modern and basic teenage girl school outfit. My group and I took inspiration from the brand Brandy Melville because they sell basic teenage girl school clothes that give off the "coming of age" aesthetic. Juliet will be wearing blue mom jeans and a floral long sleeve shirt to show her modesty and wishing to blend in with the other girls. The light white-tones colors will evoke a sense of purity. Drastically different from her later rock and roll/ punk stage. 

Juliet's Mom Work Fit



  • Juliet's mom's outfit will be a powerful accountant who will be on her way to work as she is dropping off Juliet at school. Her clothes will be very neutral, mostly browns and a couple grays to signify her as a pillar of strength and reliability in Juliet's life.

Opening scenes are one of the most important scenes in a film. You have, give or take 30 seconds to impress the viewers with what they are seeing. If it's a boring opening scene, they will most likely stop watching. You have to excite the viewers and make them want to keep watching. Let's get started!!
